The curriculum at Bizdom U is designed to be demanding and rigorous, while at the same time being entertaining and engaging. Our goal is to teach future entrepreneurs what they really need to know to run successful business enterprises. Our instructors are entrepreneurs with “real-world” experience. Our program combines street smarts with academic smarts to develop an elite squad of successful entrepreneurs.
Our curriculum is composed of four core areas, which run simultaneously throughout our part-time, one year program:
In Basic Training, recruits will acquire the base knowledge expected of business leaders. From Follow the Money: Accounting Principles to Bricks, Mortar and Broken Toilets: Issues in Facility Management, these courses cover the background knowledge needed to run a business.
In Mindset Training, recruits will develop an empowered and active mindset as they expand their intellect and create a mentality of success.
In Project Bizdom, the stakes are high and so are the rewards, as recruits work in teams and on solo missions performing increasingly difficult challenges related to targeted business topics.
Finally, in Metal Shop, recruits develop and refine the vision of their business that brought them to Bizdom U, taking their vision from conception, to planning, to final execution.
Those with a dream and drive to start and run a successful Detroit-based business, will find that Bizdom U provides the foundation needed to achieve those goals.
